The first looks like a combination of 山 母 and 勺, the second maybe 呞? I'm quite vexed by this... vexed I say. Hopefully @lexico will come in and school us.

An Picture-Story Book ?

You're character recognition is my guiding light, @cacawate . It looks like the title of an art book (picture-story book 連環畵) called 嵩口司 by *宋江. Google links 嵩口司. In the cached version of a book auction site page China Collector's Hotline 中国收藏热线.

According to the bibliographic summary, the book sold (?) was as follows.
嵩(崇)口司: 福建人民出版社.绘图王井.1964.8.2印.封面右上方有小缺.书脊上方有一厘米缺.用透明胶粘上.但不影响书名.其余完好.

Also if you would like the romanization of it, it would be chong2 kou3 si1 respectively.

It looks like the title of an art book called 嵩口司 by 宋江.

By 宋江? I'm afraid you're wrong. Here's the story:
江苏省人民政府国有资产监督管理委员会
嵩口: name of a place, 司: title of a bureaucracy

Also if you would like the romanization of it, it would be chong2 kou3 si1 respectively.
