A gift of cherry blossoms

This weekend, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden (Brooklyn, New York) is hosting its annual Sakura Matsuri, complete with all sorts of entertainment and cultural fare. And, yes, the Garden's own regular "residents" -- including an impressive group of cherry trees -- put on a beautiful show of their own.
Due to personal circumstances best not dumped on everyone here, I'm not able to go to this year's event, but if you visit my WordPress blog, you will find some lovely blossom goodness I shot in 2003. I hope to have a few more pictures up in the coming days, to give comfort, joy, and hope to those who are going through their own personal winter as I write this.

As THE cherry blossom lover of JREF (according to Mars Man), I love the photos very much! And, it is a pleasant suprise for me that there are beautiful cherry blossoms and an annual festival in New York!

The cherry blossom season is over in Tokyo, and the blooms have moved up north. Hope you enjoy the beautiful flowers of the season, too!
