I'm surprised that noone has posted a ニ恥ニ稚ニ停?ヲツーニ停ぎ Perfume thread.

Perfume is an all-girl Jpop electro/techno pop group comprised of
Yuka Kashino) and
窶堋?ツ〜窶堋ソ窶堙。窶堙ア (ツ青シヒ彳 ヒ?サツ債? Ayaka Nishiwaki) and produced by Yasutaka Nakata, founder of the group Capsule and founder of the independent music label Contemode which specializes in electronic, house, techno pop music.

There 2nd album "Game" just recently got released (4/16) and debuted at the #1 spot on the Oricon charts.

While their songs are a bit overly-produced and their singing talents are a bit lacking, they are still a breath of fresh air in the Japanese entertainment scene and their unique blend of European influenced electro-techno and para-para dance beats is definitely engaging and addictive and is a definitely much appreciated change from the Morning Musume type of girl groups.

I like there songs a lot......Yasutaka Nakata is a very famouse Dj in Japan.

Nakata always has some great beats, man. I really like his later Capsule albums, and Game is also very nice.

I think this thread should be revived, because this group really is just awesome. I got into them just yesterday and I've already replayed their youtube videos like 20-30 times...

Watch noooooooow......

lol..i really like their songs too
i think they are very different and unique from the others =p

Yeah, Perfume is awesome
Although I only have like 6 songs...but I like edge and Electro World the most I think. Ooh, and Perfect Star Perfect Style too! It's nice and upbeat xD

Isn't she in some kind of scandal with the lead singer of ニ湛ニ暖ニ椎槌辰ニ弾ニ段ツーツ?

There was? If you know anything, don't hesitate to tell us !

...but yes, a girl group, but I like them also ... cool !

Ok, got to admit, I haven't found any deep soulful female singers in JPN music, like ever,
you know who have heavy original and insightful songs.

Got to say that at least I think they are a little bit "on the easy side" all of them,
no depth really, just light "oshare kei" or traditional girl pop singers ...

Like eating popcorn, you get to chew a lot but u still feel that something is lacking ... *ewh*

magazine reports that Ayano Omoto 20, better known as Nocchi of the electropop trio Perfume, currently has a boyfriend. She is rumored to be dating Atsushi Horie 30, the vocalist and guitarist of rock band STRAIGHTENER. In May, the pair went out drinking with a group of friends. Afterward, Nocchi went back home by herself, but Horie was seen going to her apartment later on that night. Nocchi's management explained that the two musicians are merely good friends.

Heh, they look good together. But the fact is that idols with bf don't sell as much as if they were singles. Anyways, they may be just friends.

They haven't new singles since their last album Triangle, but it's because they were in Tour. *-* The DVD is gonna be called Chokkaku Nitouhen Sankakkei TOUR (窶卍シナ?p窶愿ア窶懌┐窶「テ毒スOナ?pナ蛋TOUR; Right-Angled Isosceles Triangle TOUR), and it'll be out for sell on 2010.01.13. Their lives are awesome, allthough they don't sing that much, lol.

Cool I hope they hit it off, why is a scandal?

They are both adults right? and can do as they please, I don't call it a scandal exactly

But it's nice

It isn't a scandal in Occident countries, but it totally is in Japan. Just look what happened with Miyavi; although fans have accepted the truth. it was really shocking at the beginning, there were fans who hated and are still hating Miyavi for this. xD And when it happens with a famous girl, it is more shocking; girl idols have always that virginal aura, which fans appreciate really much. The idol industry works in this way. :/

Personally, if I was their manager, I'd let them have bf but in a very secret way, so my sells wont decrease.

*bump*

I just had the Barnes & Noble near me order in Triangle, and I'm still waiting... Also, their recording label is evil because they won't put their music on iTunes or anything like that. There was a hacker that put a bootleg of GAME, Triangle, and a few other albums by them on iTunes, but Tokuma caught it and 1) he was arrested, 2) the music was removed, and 3) whenever someone would sync their iPod containing the music, the music would be erased from both their computer and iPod. No refunds, apparently.

Well, I agree with the hacker's arrest, since he did win money with that, didn't he? (I don't really know Itunes, lol.)

It's a shame for your Triangle album. I've never listened about Barnes & Noble before, so I don't know how they are. If you don't know anything in a month, I think you have right as a costumer to report it. I recommend you YesAsia for the next time, but you have to do big shopping's to accede free shipping.

They said it'll be another week. Apparently the copy i ordered got ran over by a smart car, so they're shipping a new one.

I'm new to this forum, but I've been a Perfume fan for a few years now (as well as Capsule, Immi, Meg, Sweet Vacation, and a few others I've picked up along the way). It's a dream of mine to see at least one of my electro j-pop bands live. I live in NYC, though I'm willing to travel to Japan to see them if I can get enough advance notice of their shows. Does anyone here know of any English-language sites that compile touring information for these types of bands?

@rebexter

Although it is not in English, I think you should be able to to understand this a bit without knowing any Japanese. If you have any further questions regarding this just give a shout.
