気球 is Japanese （ききゅう）. As Toritoribe showed, 風船 is for like party balloons and 気球 is for blimps/hot air balloons.

I mean 気球 is a japanese word.. but because it's also a chinese word I'm suspecting that the google image search results aren't very reliable..
