I saw the drama and the movie; the movie is way better the drama is alright but they're really milking the story. and yamada takayuki cleans up much better, enough to make things plausible at least.

okay, i saw the first episode saturday
satou eriko is in this bad boy also; itoh misaki was bad acting as usual

they totally nailed the otak culture
most people outside of japan don't seem that to know otak doesn't just apply to anime obsessed fan, but fortune-telling, military, train, and hanshin tigers otak make their appearances as well
they got geek fashion right too die fannypack die

I was planning to ask about Densha Otoko and wow we already have this thread ! Is there any truth behind the supposed fictional story ? Did it really happen ? There was even a book printed about the story. Umm..

I've been watching the series, but the story is so not believable, though it's funny to watch nonetheless. The two would make one very boring couple IMO... ^^;
