Well, I suppose I've been lurking long enough. I'm interested in learning the Japanese language for a while now, but I haven't really gotten into it until the start of 2007.

I don't have a paticular reason why I'm learning, it's just fun and I happen to like the culture and some anime. Besides, I think it could be useful in the future, who knows?

I know all of the hiragana and most of my katakana, and I'm now working on grammar and kanji, as well as vocabularly. I hope I can learn from this site and eventually get to know everyone here.

I want to cheer you on in your Japanese studies. Do your best!! It may be that not having a real reason--per se--may be the best reason...being from the heart of curiosity. I'm sure you can learn some of the things you have mentioned, and please check out the Japanese language learning area of the forum. It may take some effort, but you can do it !! See you 'round. MM
