It may sound a little strange, but I'm a bit concerned about "悪くない [waruku nai]".
Usually, when I say "not bad" in my own lanuage, I mean it really positively, as a compliment, but I kind of get the feeling that in other languages it could mean that it is literally not bad - but not good either; more like a neutral, maybe slightly worse than that. So basically my main concern is: if I said "悪くない", would someone interpret it as me trying not to say "it's bad", when I actually mean that "it's genuinely good"? For example if someone made me dinner, what would they think if I said this after the first bite?
