She walked towards the entrance way.

Could you please tell me what role that と plays here in terms of grammar?

I can't see it's a conjunction "when" or "if". Neither can I see it is a quoting particle.

と is a particle for an adverb/adverbial phrase. The meaning is almost the same as 玄関へ歩いていった there.

According to the explanation of item 1 and item 5 above, と goes only with nouns and adverbs if my understanding is correct. However in the given sentence, と follows the particle へ. What extra meaning does と give in the sentence if you don't mind to tell me?

など is not "only". It can be attached to particles, and 玄関へ can be considered that it works as an adverbial phrase.

It's impossible to translate. You can think the meaning is the same, as I wrote.

Yes at least for examples in this thread.
