『となる』の意味は何ですか

『キングダムハーツを手に入れた時 我らは完全な存在となるのだ』


この文には『となる』の意味は何ですか。更に『となる 』と『になる』の違いは何ですか。

眠いのでよく説明できないけど、単純に英訳したら、「once we obtained kingdom hearts, our lives became complete」ということだと思います。

後で文法を説明してみますが、できるかどうか分かりません。「になる」と「となる」はほとんど同じみたいな語法ですね。

The difference between the two lies in that になる simply means "become" in the general sense. On the other hand, となる means "become as a result of (deduction, a deed, effort, or an occurrence that takes place as a natural course of events or otherwise)."

BTW, my kids are also playing Kingdom Hearts these days...
