A fruity and delicate nose reminiscent of sparkling sake. An off-white hue with abundant effervescence and a cloudy appearance due to lees settling at the bottom of the bottle. A light and fruity entry with vibrant bubbles, refreshing and crisp acidity, and a touch of sweetness, all while maintaining a deep character. It is crisp and dry when chilled, but as it warms to room temperature, it unveils a pleasant rice flavour. The finish is relatively long, crisp, and balanced, with an underlying sweetness and lively acidity.
What an unexpected delight! Anticipating a deep and earthy Namagenshu, we were met with a bright, energetic nigori sake instead.
