Kawasaki Heavy Industries will present its vision for the future of public transportation at the Osaka Kansai Expo. The company aims to highlight a system that enhances travel convenience for all by featuring a passenger cabin that can smoothly transfer between cars, planes, ships, and trains. Under the theme "Impulse to Move," the company will showcase the system.

The exhibit's centrepiece is the ALICE System, an innovative transportation concept. Torii Takashi, the project's executive officer, described the full-scale model as the main attraction, offering visitors a glimpse into the future of mobility. The mock-up will illustrate how compact, train box-style cabins, designed to seat up to four passengers, can be seamlessly loaded onto trains. Measuring 3 metres in width and 2.1 metres in depth and height, these cabins are built for effortless integration across different modes of transport.

The ALICE System envisions transporting passengers in these comfortable cabins via cars, trains, ships and even airplanes, eliminating the need for transfers and reducing congestion. KHI's diverse product portfolio–including Shinkansen, liquefied natural gas carriers, aircraft fuselages, motorcycles and engines–positions it uniquely to address the complexities of future mobility. KHI's exhibit will be displayed in the Future City pavilion, a dedicated space for businesses to showcase their visions for future society and technology.
