Tempo Tsuho query

Our museum has five tempo tsuho coins circulated 1835-1870 then decirculated in 1891.
We know little about them.
Is there a numismatist that can help us identify the differences in coins and validate information please?

Japan made a shag-ton of these coins, so generally speaking they are not very valuable.
Apparently there are two types, "mother" and "child" coins. The child coins have a hot stamp on the edge of the coin. The mother coins have no such stamp, and are considered more valuable (from what I can tell from reading something quickly on the internet).
The coins made in Mito province are supposedly more valuable, and they can be identified by subtle differences in the lettering, but yours look like garden variety Tenpo Tsuho coins, so I don't think they have great value. Maybe $25-$50 apiece?
