Hi, I was born in Tokyo in 1964 at the following address 1046 Okamoto-Cho, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo. Our house doesn't exist anymore but I am trying to find out where it was. Can anyone help? Thanks

Hi there, you'd need something like this:

古地図 世田谷区 東京都区分詳細図⑫ ◆ 昭和39年 ◆ 日地出版株式会社 世田谷区詳細図

This is a 1965 map of Setagaya. I'm not sure if there's anything comparable online. Okamotochō is still a subdivision of Setagaya Ward, just south of Kinuta Park.

Thanks for the suggestion but I don't speak Japanese unfortunately. I have an idea where it could be so will see if anyone might be able to help when Im there next week for a few days. Thanks again.

This is the best I could come up with. The address doesn't show up because nowadays you'd need the "choume" to get closer. For your address, it might be written something like the following. The 1 is the choume. Okamoto-cho is divided into 1, 2, and 3 choume.
1-2-3 Okamoto-Cho, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo
