Stone Pagoda (石塔) at Rakuraku-en
This three-storey stone pagoda (sanjū-no-tō, 三重塔) stands within the grounds of Rakuraku-en (楽々園), the former villa of the Ii clan. Stone pagodas were a common feature of Edo-period daimyo gardens, where they served as ornamental landmarks and evoked the atmosphere of Buddhist temples and celebrated landscapes.
