Hi,
I am a student from LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore and I'm currently pursuing my Degree in Product Design.
It is compulsory for me to go on internship during my study term. As I am deeply in love with the Japanese culture, and I am also a humungous fan of anime. Therefore, I would really love to be able to intern in Japan.
As a young budding product/industrial designer, I often seek inspiration from all things around me. And recently I found out that books and the web is not enough to broaden my knowledge anymore. Going overseas to experience different culture and looking at things through your very own eyes is the way to learn more. After all, nothing beats the actual building/sculpture itself.
I am also interested in doing illustration and graphic designing. Because to me, being a designer doesn't mean you have to be confined by your own expertise. Yes, it is priority to be good at your specialty. But I believe that having different skills in the different aspects of designing is important too.
It would most certainly be an honour for me to be able to work in a design company located in Japan.
Are there any recommendations/connections that I can seek from here so that I can be able to commence my internship in Japan? I would greatly appreciate your help!
Thank you so much,
Ji Siang
