What place should I visit in my first travel to Japan?

1. when you are planning to travel to Japan
2. how long you will stay
3. what your are mainly interested in.

Usually, the airport. For most of us it would be a long swim.

Also, the Meguro Parasitological Museum (you may take this as a genuine suggestion, because I personally think it's awesome and they have great t-shirts in the shop - or as proof that asking for advice from random strangers on the internet may not go the way you hoped).

The page, or the museum? It was a few years ago that I went - I remember there's a shrine nearby where I killed a few minutes waiting for 10am to roll around and that it doesn't look much like a museum from the outside.

I heard it's a popular dating spot, although the museum didn't strike me as being particularly romantic.
