I wasn't selected as a scholarship student, but I knew this from the very beginning XD

Littleflower, I have a question: the deadline of March 19 was for the Pledge Statement?

I could not find anywhere on my important notice this deadline. Mine says the deadline is June 28 (as privately finnanced student).

Congratulation on your getting the LOA by the deadline.
Actually, we have not accepted as MEXT scholarship student officially, However, so far, there has been no rejection by MEXT with the recommendation from Tokyo Tech. Therefore, we shoult not worry about this.

Are you sure Ngosinh?
Because the letter bluntly stated: you have been selected as a Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) scholarship student.

If our status is nominated or recommended as MEXT student I can understand that we haven't accepted officially But.. like you said, I think it's better for us to keep positive thinking about this, and just hope for the best >.<

P.s. Actually, I heard a case that someone is rejected after nominated (this year with us), and Titech said that it was system failure.. kind of do not understand and it may just an issue, still waiting for further information from her. Please do not worry over this ya!

In my Important Notice (and Ngosinh, too) said that our deadline for Pledge Statement is March 19. So it may be different between scholarship students and privately financed... as for privately financed students might need to think more to enroll in Titech hehehe

It seems that I was the one that is miscommunication heheheh.. so it turned out she isn't rejected after recommendation from titech.. it is different case heheh so no worry Ngosinh.. sorry if I made you worry

Everything is not official until you've set foot in Japan... That's the way things are worded here.

So if you receive the recommendation, just relax and study Japanese now. You will only have a Japanese class once a week (maybe two classes if you take writing and speaking), and that won't help you much unless you come well-prepared. Or you can take the intensive course, but there's no guarantee that your professor will let you do that.

Hi, Did any one applied for IGP(C) October 2013 admission?
In the website it is said that results will be published by mid of July,but interview has already been completed. Any way to know the results earlier as I am so curious and want to try some other universities if not selected.

Me too, I haven't received not a single letter (both by mail and post) since March '13 ..
Thanks God, so I'm not the only one who hasn't received the MEXT certificate letter

Oh, I just got information from Tokyo Tech.
As the information from an officer of International Student Exchange Division. "MEXT scholarship of this year is actually issued by Tokyo Tech but it's official. Before the official acceptance letter for MEXT scholarship was sent in late June from MEXT, but since this year, the letter was issued by each university in March". She also sent me the sample letter of MEXT scholarship and it actually is the "important notice" that we got in March. That means we are officially got MEXT scholarship. Congratulations to all!
However, I wonder, Do we need any more documents from Tokyo Tech for VISA issue???

I remember that I needed only the certificate of admission and the MEXT certificate for the visa issuance process. The process was dead simple.

But since from this year the MEXT certificate is issued by each university, you may want to confirm with your local embassy. I'm no official spokesperson

Could you tell us, is there any signature of seal on the MEXT certificate. Because, As the "important notice" that we got, there is no signature or seal at all, but as the officer, this is exactly the Letter of MEXT scholarship. Therefore, I am a little confused.
One more thing, as the policy of MEXT, we will be supported the round trip airfare, could you tell us when and how we will get it? Thanks you very much for your help.

My Professor just sent me an email that: The documents for VISA application, flight booking, dorm, and tutor will be sent to us in beginning of July.

The best things to do is to ask directly to your intended professor. As I applied to different schema (mine is IGP A), so I couldn't give you any other advices
