Hello triplehelix and littleflow3r,

first of all congratz for your achievement,

anw i want to ask some question, i also apply for IGP (A) at Industrial Engineering Dept, whiches at the same triplehelix graduate school. i have done the interview on december 2012, and my associate prof said overall is good, but honestly im still no sure abt my result, am i nominated as MEXT candidate or not.

if i not wrong you already got notification from your professor that you already nominated as MEXT candidate, right? what i want to ask is, before you got the notif, are you asked to the professor first or your professor emailed you first abt the MEXT candidate notif? because i havent got any notif abt MEXT sch candidate yet.

and how much the quota of MEXT candidate of each department?

I did not ask the prof that time. He even said sorry for long silence before the notification Because I was so nervous that time and did not want to think about it, so I keep silence till he finally contacted me.

2. Scholarship quota ?

The official result from titech will be sent directly in March. You could wait... if not you can just ask your prof directly.

Let's just pray for the best.. to be honest our status right now is that Titech has recommended us for sch to MEXT. So the final decision will be made by MEXT. Hope for the best!

for rehaa, it must be via email. but i think you can ask to your prfo earlier like i just did.

First, prof emailed us first to know whether we will accept the decision and come to Titech at Sept or not. If yes, then prof will process the necessary procedure. So we can say it as "unofficial notification of acceptance"

After that, in mid march, Titech will send mail (official notification of acceptance) to our address.

That is what I got from my prof's last email.

Sure, but I expect they also send us a notification via e-mail specially since shipping to Colombia takes forever

Congratulations, I just got the letter via EMS yesterday too. Currently, I send a pledge statement (they attach in the same envelop) by email and waiting for some future information. Good luck guys!!

Not yet Last week my sensei said to me that the admission division has sent the LOA to my place (he said that I may have received already, in fact it is not... so I think they have sent it since long time).

I think my place is in such rural area so it hasn't arrived yet LOL

There is a pledge we have to send back to them in the LOA right? I have some questions:
1. Is there any deadline for submitting this pledge?
2. Do we need to send it back using post or scan via email?
3. Do we need to send it to admission division or to sensei?

Please explain to me detailed information about the pledge.. Thanks ! Ganbatte ne !

Oh, it is very unlucky for you.
You have to send the scanned pledge via email. But, today is the deadline for it. You should ask your sensei as soon as possoble

One more thing, we will send it back to International Student Exchange Division. There is a instruction eclosed with th LOA. You should ask your sensei and Admission Division as well about the late arrival of LOA. Good Luck!

Just received the letter Scanned it, and send it already ^_^
I sent it exactly on March 19, while the notice said no later than March 19 Hope it will be fine..

On the documents sent to us, there is 3 letters (LOA, Important Notice, and Pledge Statement). There is statement on the Important notice said that: "We are pleased to inform you that you have been selected as a Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) scholarship student."

Does it mean that we certainly have accepted, not just nominated, as MEXT scholarship student? Thanks

Congratulation on your getting the LOA by the deadline.
Actually, we have not accepted as MEXT scholarship student officially, However, so far, there has been no rejection by MEXT with the recommendation from Tokyo Tech. Therefore, we shoult not worry about this.
