interesting fruit

During my stay in Japan, I've seen this fruit in yogurt mostly. I don't know the english word( or if there is one) for it. It is called natadekoko(ニ段ニ耽ニ断ニ坦ニ坦).
It is very good in yogurt. I would just like to know more about it:)
Anyone ever heard of or eaten it?
 
If you're talking about what I think you are, then it's the coconut jelly from the Phillipines! -family is from the Philippines-

It's really good in halo-halo, an icy drink with all sorts of fruit mixed in ^^

If you know of any Filipino (or general Asian) supermarkets, you should be able to find a jar of them there :)
 
That's right Megwa-San, Nata de coco was product of the Philippines and we export it to many parts of the world. You also know Halo-Halo OMG. Did you like it?

Yeah, my parents actually own a Filipino restaurant here in Southern California, so during the summer I make halo-halo all the time XDD
