Versailles

That last picture Yurga posted really reminds me of Gackt... he's starting to remind me more and more of Gackt every time I see him... especially with the new hair style... it's straight out of Merveilles era Malice Mizer!
 
Yeah, he also reminds me Gackt on the last pic.
He hadn't this hair style when I met him, why?????? T_____T He's so nice!!!!!!
 
Thought you guys would be interested, Versailles is releasing their first full length album July 7th, 2008! Titled "Nobel"
 
Yays full length album! Jrock bands should really do more of them! I tend to be reluctant to spend money on their usual length albums... but full length albums I have no problem with getting.
 
Full albums.

This is an interesting debate for not only Versailles but all VK'ers and bands everywhere in general.

I would say that I firmly in the "maxi CD / mini album and occiasionally a full album" camp. I prefer maxis and minis because it's new music coming frequently, and often such releases can come with cool photo book sleeves and neat "gifts" from CD shops. Also, I like the buy 2 or buy 3 of the band maxis in a row (timed releases over two or three months) and get an invite to an in-store event. (I'm looking forward to the end of May and my 2nd CHARIOTS in-store event in the last seven months)

A full album release would dumb all of this cool stuff down. And it would be totally impossible - quality wise and financially - for an J-indies band to release full albums and maxis & minis within a span of a year.

But I think the idea of maxis and minis is a Japanese "thing"?? Last year, I had a chit-chat backstage with Sebastian Bach and his band when they played Tokyo, and forwarded the idea of maxi CDs and mini albums. They seemed to think (from a record producing angle) that American fans wouldn't like that, especially if the maxi songs then get vaulted onto a full album later.

My two schillings!

I also think that even if FULL albums would cost less than two mini albums, you wouldn't be assured of the quality of the music because in most cases, albums are done hurriedly which makes the sound of the other songs (other than the songs from the singles) not at par with the previously released ones.
 
Nan Desu Ka: Of course I meet them, I did an interview of them... (and they invited us to a concert which was really great) I don't want to make anyone jealous, it was a dream to creat my mag to meet VK bands and share it in french and english. and you'll have all they said to me in my mag ^^

I also like the thing of mini albums with gifts and all, but only when I'm in Japan, cause here it doesn't cost that much. In france or anywhere far you have to pay a lot for the sending cost, so it's not interresting.
 
Never heard Lareine, never knew Kamijo before... until i saw 'Revenant Choir' PV... OMG those eyes,hair, hohoho but like any other j-rock band, their english is kind of... hard to understand... ah doesnt matter as long as its in sexy-voice

And if you care, my my mag is almost finish, so you can see it, their is just on thing which isn't in english, and we have a problem with the size.
Unfortunatly for you it's not the one with Versailles, but I'm working on this, hope it'll not take me so long ^^

You should definitely try LAREINE, the older stuff. I think you would definitely like it. Do a YOUTUBE search for some samples.
