Hello everyone.
I am currenly in a long distance relationship with my girlfriend, and there's something that has been bothering me.
She is working as a hostess in order to save money.
I've only been to Japan a few times, so I am not familiar with such places.
I have been brought up with an American education background, so the words "nightclub", "hostess" to me has some reference of sex related jobs.
I have been worried and noticed this forum. Thus I am here, in search of everyone's advice.
My girlfriend is still only 18 years old and has told me that she declined offers of being touched.
I understand that I have to trust my girlfriend, but it's natural to worry about her.
Are there certain things I should know? Or am I just thinking/worrying too much?

From what I've read about hostess clubs, they just sit and chat with customers. I've never heard of hostesses having to provide sexual favors. I could be mistaken.
 
If she is a highschooler, it is a problem to work in a hostess bar.
If not, don't worry. Just trust her.

It may be an idea to go to a hostess bar when you come to see her, though I don't know how tolerent she is that her boyfriend goes there.
 
Generally sex isn't involved at all, it is implied at most. Generally hostesses are just chatty waitresses who have time to sit with the customer and talk.

It's just that I've heard from some people about certain places being 触りOK (ok to touch/feel hostess) and was worried.
I guess the only thing I can do as of now is to trust her.

It is highly likely that some women have to travel around Japan every 2 or 3 months.
If you live in Fukuoka, it is a good idea to go to a pub and ask them where to go. And say something like... "I love your place, but I am looking for a pub where Indonesians are working".

My advice: you need to be a bit more realistic about your relationship. Don't be so naive... or you may be in for a surprise. And about Indonesians working in Fukuoka as hostesses, there are plenty of establishments (you don't even really need to try and find one). Just follow the gaudy marquee signs with silly poses/ridiculous cosplay/or the girl's faces plastered on them.

I'm not in fukuoka right now, but i have a plan to go there. Its about my friend that go to fukuoka to work as a dancer.. but some rumours say that they not only dance but also do hostessing for customer in a pub.. and i lost contact with her. And i think when i will be in fukuoka, why dont i check how her doing then . Thats why i need help from you all.. to know which club that have dancers from indonesian

My girlfriend works in a Kyabakura, and Ive been having a sneaking
suspicion of foul play. Am I just being paranoid?
I recently saw an email between her and some guy she met on the train. Nothing sexual or anything, but it was pretty flirtatious (like meeting up for coffee). When confronted about it, she said she was trying to get him to go to the bar. Is that generally what a kyabajo does? Or is she just using the job as an excuse?
 
Wow, meeting for coffee is flirtatious now? I usually do that because I'm not hungry enough to go to a restaurant, or just because its cheap :D

Kyabajo get kickbacks for getting customers to come, and continue to come to the bar. Mailing isn't unusual, maybe going out on date, accepting presents etc too are normal practices. I can't say how far she may go, but as they say, everyone has a price. And it depends if you trust her. (I would!)
 
18 and working in a bar? Illegal as hell here if she is drinking. Not sure how you react to that. If she is willing to do such a thing as that to make money, what are the odds that she is willing to stretch the typical business relationship from non-sexual to otherwise? FWIW, hostesses are not required to have any sort of sexual relationship with customers. Their job is to keep them happy with a nice view of their well-clad figures, provide stimulating conversation to keep them happy, perhaps sing a little, and pour drinks. It's all titillation for the most part, and I can see why many women would want to do this job (you make quite a bit of money), but the hours are horrible. Has your GF quit high school to do this, or is she burning the candle at both ends?
