Yoshiki, Gackt and Sugizo start band together

you know, I would love it if miyavi joined this sure to be amazing super group. But what I wanna know, is why is nobody considering Hyde for the second guitarist?

-He's great friends with gackt
-He's friends with Yoshiki
-He's a legend in his own right like the other three
-He's part of a legendry J-Rock band like the other three
-He was just in LA to perform and met up with Yoshiki
-He is a brilliant guitarist
-He has played with gackt before as well as acted with him in Moon Child
-He is currently on hiatus with Laruku and only doing solo work
-He can sing back up for gackt (and we all know how well they sound together thanks to Orange no Taiyou)
-He fits the same mold as the other three
-He would be perfect

miyavi would be cool, but let's face it, Hyde fits better than MYV, I for one would be heart broken if Hyde wasnt in this group, and I cant be the only one who would love to see Gackt and Hyde together again. Who knows, maybe miyavi can be the bassist lol, I'm sure he can play it, he's freaking amazing...Imagine that group...

Vocals:Gackt
Guitar: Sugizo
Guitar: Hyde
Drums/Piano:Yoshiki
Bass: Miyavi

it would be the best band ever!!!!!!111!!!

I just cant see this project being complete without hyde...anyways, that's just my honest opinion...

what do u think?

^ That line up doesn't feel right. I don't think Miyavi plays bass (and if he does i'm sure he's better at guitar)....and Hyde...I don't know how strong he is on the guitar. He plays...but i'm not sure how well since I don't listen to his solo works much. Plus Hyde has always been a front man. I don't think singing "back up" suits him. I would rather have Hyde as vocalist than Gackt. If this is a "super band" then I think Yoshiki would want the members to be in the position they are best at.

I think Miyavi (or any young, talented, and popular musician right now) would be a good choice because they'll need a more modern image to be part of their band to draw in more fans. That way they can have the old X/LUNA SEA fans along with some newer fans that will be drawn to Miyavi or whoever.

well first and foremost before he was even a vocalist hyde was a guitarist, In my opinion, that's what he truly excels at(his guitar work is awesome, IMO I'd say he's one of the best guitarist's out there),though I do love him as a vocalist. Oh, and his solo work is great. All three of his solo albums are really good, and each one has gotten better, he's improving as he goes along. Oh and the thing about miyavi being bassist is only because I want both meev and hyde in this band lol.

Miyavi just doesn't fit. And Hyde can't be in the band cos then Gackt won't be able to concentrate and that would upset Yoshiki very much.

And Hyde can't be in the band cos then Gackt won't be able to concentrate and that would upset Yoshiki very much.

:D That's definitely true.
Although a band with Hyde and Gackt would be something bigger than life itself.

oh-oh, wow... look at that all list!
all great Jrockers gathering together?????

hmm... suspicious.....

what are they going to do anyway???
aren't those are pple who like to make surprise and loves to trick fans~

please gentlemen, dont make me laugh with whatever y'all planning to do 😍

WHATEVER happens, it will be interesting. That's really the only thing anyone can be sure OF!

And while the idea of Hyde and Gackt being in the same band is interesting I don't REALLY see it happening. BUT then again .... we know so LITTLE about what will happen... anything is possible. We'll just have to wait and see~!

I was about to go and explain how a band like this would work but I'll just copy a section from my Livejournal XD :
'' recently was looking at an article looking at the speculations of Miyavis new band, and many people seem to think that it will be a bad idea teaming him up with Yoshiki, Gackt and Sugizo. However I disagree.
Yoshiki ( Former drummer, X-Japan) and Sugizo (former Guitarist, Luna Sea) Will pull in the fans of the older music.
Gackt (former vocalist, Malice Mizer and solo) will pull in the pop punk and pop fans, let alone the thousands of anime fans around the world.
And Miyavi will attract the mainstream amount of fans that like Visual Kei, and modern japanese rock.
Sugizo described the music as 'Super explosive rock music', so I'm well looking forward to this. It's been a while I've heard anything particularly amazing by Yoshiki. No, he hasn't lost his touch, but come-on: Violet UK never really was THAT great.''
To add to that though I was watching a video ''I'll be your love'' performed by Yoshiki, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra with Nicole Scherzinger, and it was amazing.
The first post said that they'd be touring the U.S next year, do you mean next year as in this year, 2007, Or 2008? I hope they find the time to come to the UK! :)
Edit: Gackt and HYDE in a band together? Hell that'd be entertaining! :D

I am so excited for this!!! LOL! All those personalities!! LOL! I wanna be in the room with them when they have to come up with everything! That would be worth a million bucks and a die hard laughs! Know what, I really want Miyavi to be part of this band and I could see Hyde part of the band too. Damn too bad there can't be like three guitarists or something. Wonder who will be the bass player and what is their name gonna be??

Hmmm....Just thinking about Hyde and hide. I just read somewhere that Yoshiki claimed he would never play drums again after hide died and wouldn't it be weird to have Hyde as a lead guitarist when hide was the lead guuitarist for X-Japan.
That would be too painful and weird I think....:( R.I.P. hide

hide-sama 😭 Yea~ I can see how it would be painful if that were the case~ So ironic >< I don't want to think of it!
Now I'm even more HYPED!!! I really can't wait for more news!!!!😌

"what about pata and heath???and TOSHI too"

haha i think there's no way other X Japan members are gonna be inside. i mean, its such a long time. and didnt yoshiki had a conflict with toshi or smth? and if that happens, everybody will just be expecting a reincarnation of X rt? i hope that wont happen. let the beautiful stay beautiful in our memory. its time to move on. both in musical sense and for yoshiki himself.

"wouldn't it be weird to have Hyde as a lead guitarist when hide was the lead guuitarist for X-Japan."

both are Hideto some more. haha. but i've always thought of hyde as vocalist. haha. but he's great too.

"I was watching a video ''I'll be your love'' performed by Yoshiki, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra with Nicole Scherzinger, and it was amazing."
ah!!! i wanna watch too! where did you watch it? online? if so, url? haha... i always feel that yoshiki plus orchestra is just godly. haha.

L'arc is back now and they are touring in Japan this summer. I think it would be like one in million chance that he would join this super-band. Hyde said in the interview that this year will be of L'arc years. Beside he is a so-so guiterrist (kinda sux) compare to other 3 three. I just dont see him other than being a frontman. Guiter doesn't suit him.

but seeing gackt and hyde in the band together would be something :D but I would prefer hyde in tetsu's band, they make great music and hot couple..

oh my... so what this is all about??
are they realy REALLY going to make a project together????
can't believe it. more over, they're all gureeeto j-rockers, nee..
wowowo~ truly what's this!

i dont think hyde would be a good to join the band
cause: - as said above he is a so-so guiterrist
- he has always been a front man
- gackt cant focus with him on the team... for obvious reasons ^^
- he and gackt would either form a musical front together in another band or get into a fight... like gackt and mana in MM... altough gackt and hyde make a good team.
- laraku needs him :-) and i need him... to make great laraku albums
that is XD

did anyone hear any samples of songs?

gah!!! The more I think about it, the more I want miyavi in this band!!! He's such a damn good guitarist and so young (plus really f'ing hot)!
Btw check out meev being totally secretive in this interview after his concert in Las Vegas (me thinks he's talking about the supergroup =D)

With the announcement coming only a week before his performance in Las Vegas, Nevada, Miyavi performed at the MGM Grand nightclub, the Tabu Lounge. After a quick performance of regular patrons and a handful of fans, JaME had the opportunity to speak with the artist.

The announcement for this performance was very sudden, and many of your fans could not attend, but it was good to see that many were able to come. Do you have any more definite plans for the future or plans to come back to the US and perform again?

Miyavi: Now that I realize that I have so many fans outside of Japan, I really want to visit them all over the world and perform many places overseas someday. I also hope to come back to the United States again... but probably not right away, unless it is on one of my 'secret missions' that brought me here. I do not have any definite plans right now.

Secret missions?

Miyavi: Yes, 'secret'. (He put a finger over his lips in a hushing gesture)

I am highly impressed with how far your English has come along. How long have you been focusing on the language?

Miyavi: I have been studying since... last year. To be precise, I got started on it last October. But I am not very good at it yet.

Oh no, you are doing very well!

Miyavi: Really? Thank you very much. (laughs)

If you were to meet someone who had never heard your music before, how would you discribe your style? I know in the past you have termed it 'Neo-Visualism'.

Miyavi: That is what I like to think of it as. It is...shock rock, visual like shock rock. Like in Kabuki.

As in your performance is like watching Kabuki theater?

Miyavi: You know Kabuki? Yes, it is very elaborate in visuals and style. That is what I like.

Why did you choose Las Vegas and more specifically Tabu, a 21 and over night club in the MGM Grand as the first place for you to perform in the US?

Miyavi: I was invited here while on one of my secret missions by Mr. Freeze [legendary break dancer]. When I visited before, I met Mr. Freeze through Tony Lee [also a legendary Hip-hop dancer] at the Tabu Ultra Lounge. I liked it (the club) and was asked if I wanted to perform here sometime soon. So I came on another, not quite so secret mission to perform here, where the setting is to my liking.

secret mission eh? *wink wink*

How amazing would it be even just having yoshiki, gackt, sugizo, and miyavi in a band together? I dont even care about the bassist (unless by some divine miracle they pull toshiya away from Dir en grey or Reita from Gazette lol)
Like I said......I really hope Meev is the 4th member and 2nd guitarist of the group!!!

LOL! I wonder what he's hiding?? He's so cute. "Secret mission", indeed.
I was thinking Toshiya too but only to like to "borrow" after they are done he has to go back to Diru pronto. And then he can go back and forth between groups but he can't leave Diru.

Anybody here about JRock Revolution!? Yoshiki is hosting the first ever JRock fest in america. Miyavi, Mucc, Alice Nine, Kaggra, Vidoll, DuelJewell, D'espairs Ray, and Gilgamesh will all be performing over a 2 day period May 25-26 at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles, CA. On top of that Yoshiki will be making the announcement of the Fourth member of the band sometime during the event....am I the only one who notices Miyavi is on the list of mentioned bands/artists appearing? Coincidence? I think not! I have to be there! Oh btw, if we have any AnCafe fans, they'll be playing in Dallas Texas on June 3rd at A-Kon....that I probly wont make it too, but I want too!!!!

NO! totchi and reita can't leave their bands!!!! especially not toto!! hehe... though he would be the best choice in my opinion

and i really hope i can go to the jrevolution concert!! *_* i'm rooting for MYV in the group too... think of the personality dynamics! 😊 yoshiki would be like "I~ am the great yoshiki! i am a LEGEND!!" and gackt would be like "nuh uh! can you say MAGNUM?!" and myv would poke his head up in the middle and say "MIYAVI DESSSSU!" and yoshiki and gackt would both punch him ^_^ <3 just kidding, but i think it would be interesting... some funny backstage clips, at least... and miyavi would learn a LOT from being in a band with the big 3... i mean, think of his post-supergroup work <3 :-)

so. excited.

Wah!:( I wouldn't be able to go! No money, Why doesn't anyone ever come to Canada! Diru is doing another American tour but they aren't coming to Canada!! Sorry I just have to lament...
I bet everyone $100 it's like Meevers as the fourth member!:win: Oh yeah...

As Im quite a fan of the drums, I know Yoshiki and ofcourse X Japan. Im curious to the songs they will make. I only know one song of Gackt which is redemption, not bad but not amazing, but as many people like him he must be quite gifted. Anyway I will try to keep an eye on this..

anyone else think kisaki formerly of phantasmagoria would be perfect for bass? He just as sexy as the other members, he's popular, well known, a great bassist, and just happens to be free because of the disbanding of phantasmagoria. He fit's the bill, former visual kei guy, and all the things I mentioned above, just look at the pics down below, they all look great together. Now Kisaki may be a little more vkei than the rest atm because all the others have toned down there looks since they've moved on from their vkei bands, gackt: malice mizer, yoshiki: x japan, sugizo: luna sea, and even miyavi : due le quartz. So whose to say Kisaki cant do the same thing and fit in perfect. I for one think he'd be the right guy for the job. Unless they can coax someone away from another band lol. Who knows though, I've heard he had some trouble with taxes or something XP if not him, honestly who knows...

Vo: GACKT
Gu: SUGIZO
Gu: MIYAVI
Ba: KISAKI
Dr: YOSHIKI

Hum... well, Kisaki WOULD be a great choice, I mean he was a really great bassist... the sad thing is that he said HIMSELF that he would never play the bass again... Which really SUCKS but he did say he wouldnt be playing again only, managing Undercode productions...

But I agree, Kisaki-sama would be good in the super band...

@Kikyos_Soul I totally understand you! No ever comes to Canada.... :(
