Is Mike Cash really gone?

When you believe somebody is a despicable person or has commited a terrible crime you would prob hear most people say this
I was wondering what a watered down alternative would be as well "He should be shot." It's an everyday interjection. And nothing specifically about a bullet to the brain. If he had gone into a grisly, blow-by-blow account of the execution process I would agree it should be deleted, but to punish someone for this is unreal.

No offense Rock, but the rule you quoted in no way fits the post in question. His post was not vulger, obscene, and you could barely stretch it to fit explicit. Had he posted a photo of someone being shot, then I would agree. I think that you took things a bit too far.

He posted this : "The man should be stood up against a wall and shot."

Now maybe some of you Americans think it's ok to say things like this, but such personal opinions are totally not appropriate.

I recall one American southern politician retracted and publically apologized for his seemingly bigot little remark ( it was reported in major US newspapers ) directed at some immigrant who could barely spoke " English " on the receiving end of his phone call to a business in S/W Virginia or N/S Carolina.

man, this is the silliest debate I`ve ever seen, reminds me of one child tattling on the other for saying "hell".So he said someone should be shot, big deal. His post was nothing explicit, vulgar,or inappropriate in any way, shape,or form.I`ve seen and heard worse stuff on the news, even on children`s movies. -___- you people need to grow up,and chill out.

Personally I think it comes mostly from Rocklee's very intense objection to the war in Iraq which this guy was also hoping to evade. If Mike had said the person responsible for the invasion or some nameless terrorist for keeping us in it should be shot I doubt very much it would have gotten this far. And it would have been quite hypocritical if it had. :p

on the other hand, just for the sake of debate, what if Person A would have said Person B should be shot if Person B had stolen a turkey from the store?

the driving force in any war is always based in greed

He thinks the man should get a bullet to the brain, and there is nothing more to it. This language is not appropriate and not tolerated on JREF.

Perhaps a more "delicate" way of saying it would be, he should face a firing squad!

By the way, firing squads don't aim for the brain, they aim for the heart.

Yea but they usally miss its horrible ;_;

Did you know only one bullet is real so they don't know who fired the shot that kills

At least in the UK

I am busy these days, and don't have the time for philosophical argumentation... And I was surprized to see this thread build up to 3 pages in so little time.. WOW !!!

There is a lot more I could say here...as some (if not many) of you would know (from first hand experience) but I will clasp my hand over my mouth and bite my tongue at the same time as the words, "Well, back over in the Europed...ummhumm" (muffled sounds) come rolling out. MM

This isn't about Mike's leaving anymore. Closing this thread. *big sigh*
