So, I plan on living in Japan when I'm older, but I don't know where I could live. I'm six foot two, so I don't wanna live in a big city. I kinda wanna live somewhere where there isn't a ton of people, but enough people. Also, I'm not super familiar with the jobs in Japan. Could you guys help me out with this?

I would say take it one step at a time and first plan on visiting either as a tourist, educational program or mission trip. Then you'll get some clarity for later steps. Do you already have some idea of what kind of career you want (not taking Japan into account)?

Well, before i even go to Japan, I'm planning on serving in the USAF. After that, I've been considering going to a Japanese culinary school and maybe learning how to be a chef or something. Or maybe make a band and be a musician:) Also, my junior year of high school I'm planning on going to Japan as a foreign exchange student.

Then find out what you need to do to get the USAF to station you in Japan. A buddy of mine first went to Japan in the USAF (Atsugi) and he's still there now 40 years later.

There are 2 big Air Force bases in Japan now , Yokota & Misawa and a few smaller bases which might be communication/spy bases. Not sure if they still do it. If you took some type of school in the military and were at the top of the class in your grades , you got to choose where you could serve after school.

Why don't you want to go to Japan in the AF? Where do you want to be stationed?

Go and get a taste, explore and find your place.

Sounds like you have plenty of opportunities, make the most of them. We can only point at the moon, it's up to you to find your crater.
