Last Thursday, the Matsumoto Winter Illumination was launched. This year's light shows are based on the following themes:

• On regular days: "Earth", "Water", and "Starry Sky".
• From 9 to 16 December and from 13 to 20 January: alternating "Earth", "Water", and "Starry Sky" as well as "Present", "Past", and "Future".
• From 17 to 25 December: "Earth", "Water", and the Christmas Light Show
• From 1 to 9 January: "Earth", "Water", and the New Year's Light Show
• From 21 to 28 January: "Earth", "Water", and the Ice Sculpture Festival Show
• From 8 to 14 February: "Earth", "Water", and the Valentine's Day Show

The light shows take place daily every 15 minutes between 18:00 and 21:15.

It's like an ice-cream castle... Except evil... It's layered like an ice-cream cake but it has colourful lights expressing things such as "Earth", "Wind", "Water" & "Fire"... It's like Japan's answer to Disney land... Thanks for all the information!

It's evil of design... Like diabolical, meticulous design... How their busy little hands put all that architecture together??? I'm wiping the sweat off my brow in my imagination... It makes me insane!
