How would you say this Zen Proverb in Japanese? "Before enlightment, chop wood, carry water....after enlightment, chop wood, carry water."

「悟りの前に,木を切り,水を運び,悟りの後に,木を 切り,水を運ぶ.」
"satori no mae ni, ki o kiri, mizu o hakobi, satori no ato ni, ki o kiri, mizu o hakobu."

or

「悟りのまえ、木を切り、水を運んでいた。悟りのあと 、木を切り、水を運ぶ。 」
"satori no mae, ki o kiri, mizu o hakonde ita. satori no ato, ki o kiri, mizu o hakobu."

Vary Zen-ish, I think.
