Last year, China cracked down on its domestic entertainment industry targeting "deviations" such as overpaid actors, 'sissy idols', and fan culture. Chinese censors also actively interfere in foreign productions to promote "healthy values". The latest victims are the minions and their fifth instalment, "Minions: The Rise of Gru".

Other movies tampered with are David Fincher's 1999 cult classic "Fight Club" and the sitcom "Friends" where LGBTQ plotlines were cut. Over the years, many other American movies have been altered to get past Chinese censors for distribution, which is exactly why demand remains high in China for pirated copies of foreign movies.

didn't know about it))) looks freaky and fun)
