Hi,

How can I turn the following into negative form or just change the abjetcitve to /little fluenty/??

is this correct?

"sumimasen, watashi wa nihongo ga pera pera dewa arimasen" ??

You could say わたしなど日本語がまだまだです。

It's like saying: "As for humble old me, I have a long way to go with Japanese."

Watashi nado is similar to "watashi nanka/nante," but anyway, I think "Watashi no nihongo wa pera pera de wa arimasen" is fine as is, really.

and
"Watashi wa nihongo ga pera pera de wa arimasen"
the first one may mean "my" /watashi no/ , while /nihongo ga/ is the subject?
do you think the following is a good way to match what I mean?

"watashi no nihongo ga pera pera de wa arimasen" is very awkward.
(And it should be watashi no nihongo wa" not "ga".)

"Watashi no nihongo wa madamada desu" is OK.
(Again, it's not "ga" but "wa".)

私は日本語が上手では（じゃ）ありません I think has to be the most common way to say you are not good at Japanese. The topic is わたし（は） which makes it a speaker that isn't skillful.

私の日本語は上手ではありません。is also fine grammatically, but in this case it is a slight more emphasis on the language being poor (日本語 as the topic）, away from the person attempting it !

ok, so you mean:

"watashi wa nihongo ga joozu dewa arimasen" by using /joozu/ and the negative form...

is that meaning far from:

"watashi no nihongo wa madamada desu" also I could add /ne/ in the end to sound funny??

I love the first one anyway...

Also, I'm happy I have learnt new kanjies like 私 and 上手
