I am not sure. I have been looking at them for a while now and I am just not sure. For fridge I think the longer is a electric fridge and the other is one that is not electric....maybe. I guess I lack common sense. :roflmao:

I come bearing a single word that I am slightly unsure of.
滞在
Now the dictionary I am using says that it means 'to stay or sojourn." I want to make sure that this is referring to staying in the sense that it is temporary, like in a hotel, or does it refer to a more long-term sojourn? To sojourn in a foreign land for example.
Just a quick note is that I did look at the kanji and I am still at a loss for which meaning is correct. Although they both could very well be the right translation.
It could be either depending on the context just like "stay" could be a one night hotel stay or a six-month residence in a foreign country.
I believe 一晩滞在する is really used.
Thanks for backing me up on this one.I believe 一晩滞在する is really used.
Would you also use 宿泊する when staying at, say, a friend's house for a night or two? Or is it used more for traditional paid lodging?宿泊する and 滞在する can be used both for a short and long stay, but the former tends to be used for a short stay, and the latter is for the longer one.
Yes, it's possible.Would you also use 宿泊する when staying at, say, a friend's house for a night or two?

Hello, everyone! Today I bring the word 免許. The definition is license; permit; licence; certificate, but there are other words that have the same meaning, like 免許証 for example. I am not sure of how this word would be used exactly.
