As far as I am aware, さめ is "shark". Either that or the root/noun of 覚める、冷める, or the like.

yea I was pretty sure it was さむい -> さめ used to mean cold

Is it a written one? Where did you see it? What is the context or the whole sentences?

Hmm, I heard it while watching anime, I've remembered it pretty clearly though I've forgotten which anime it was.. I don't think I've misheard さめな～ for something else.. and the english translation was "It's cold" (suiting the context of the story etc so it couldn't have been an error here too)

It must be written as さみぃなぁ/さみーなー in the script of the anime, and the voice actor no doubt pronounced it as さみぃなぁ/さみーなー, but YOUR EARS heard it as さめな～. Period.
