The person feels it would be easier to communicate his/her feelings in person. He/she wants to be right next to you when talking.

This is either somebody with a crush on you or a mail from a Yahoo Japan account trying to dupe you into paying to sign up on a deai-kei site.

I said I wanted to go to Japan. When I asked her if she had a boyfriend she said yes. I said Maybe "I shouldn't go there" and that "I'de get in the way of her and her boyfriend" then she said--what I wrote up there.

What do you think? Does she like me?

Sounds like it has great potential for "doronuma" (an unpleasant swamp that's difficult to get out of). If she can't express her feelings clearly, she probably isn't thinking very clearly. Sounds like she doesn't know what she wants, but is keeping her options open. The reasons are likely to be (a) typical Japanese "doesn't want to speak clearly due to fear of giving offense", or (b) "is a fuzzy thinker who has problems with self-denial, and wants to have her cake and eat it too without regard for the problems that might cause others".

If you go in, go in with low expectations and a clear escape route.
