With the landfall of Typhoon No. 7 tomorrow Tuesday, authorities warn of fierce winds, relentless rain and high waves in western and eastern Japan. As the typhoon is moving very slowly, at 10-15 kph, the JMA said it will take about two days to pass through Japan.

I am glad we cancelled our trip to Kyushu.

The 'channel' I usually look at: (which will auto-update every 10-15min)

And with this, use shift+ left/right arrow keys to animate it thru a short time.

Luckily we don't have plans for tomorrow and can just stay in all day if need be. I heard that JR will not be running trains tomorrow (in Nara and Osaka anyway).

It looks like Typhoon No. 7 caused a lot of havoc in the West.

Useful links, thanks!

We got some light to mildly strong winds and some light rain on and off here in Nara. Kintetsu ran their trains all day but everything was closed anyway, even the local grocery store. It really qualified as nothing more than a mild storm in this area, at least in my opinion.
