Hello! I am testing out a new approach to advancing in my Japanese studies! This would be so much easier if I lived in Japan already haha.
Anyway, I'm going to be trying some translation attempts. Also, I'll put down a kana and romaji translation to make sure that I'm getting the words correct. So, here I go.
2011年8月創刊の週刊子ども新聞については、「中 日こどもウイークリー」をご覧ください。
2011年8月そうかんしゅうかんこどもしんぶんにつ いては、「ちゅうにちこどもウイークリー」をごらんください。
2011 nen 8 gatsu soukan shuukan kodomo shinbun ni tsuite wa, chuunichi kodomo iikurii wo gorankudasai.
My Translation: Please look at August 2011's first issued published weekly newspaper regarding the China and Japan Kid Weekly.
Now, there are just some things I don't understand in this sentence. The に means "At" in this sentence right? That one I think I may be right, but am just verifying.
And let's say we were to break this sentence apart a bit; wouldn't the topic be "August 2011's first issued published weekly newspaper regarding~"?
And after the topic marker は that comes after ついて is "Please try to look at China and Japan's Kid Weekly."
However isn't ごらん used after the Te-Form of a verb? Since it's talking about a newspaper is it simply assumed that it means "Try and look at" since there is no "見てごらんください"?
Or is the は after ついて simply how it is when in Japanese you want to say "Regarding~".
For example,
Please read the newspaper regarding Japan's sushi.
新聞をついては日本寿司読んでください。
Thank you for all your help!
