first of all congratz for your achievement,
anw i want to ask some question, i also apply for IGP (A) at Industrial Engineering Dept, whiches at the same triplehelix graduate school. i have done the interview on december 2012, and my associate prof said overall is good, but honestly im still no sure abt my result, am i nominated as MEXT candidate or not.
if i not wrong you already got notification from your professor that you already nominated as MEXT candidate, right? what i want to ask is, before you got the notif, are you asked to the professor first or your professor emailed you first abt the MEXT candidate notif? because i havent got any notif abt MEXT sch candidate yet.
and how much the quota of MEXT candidate of each department?

1. Did I ask prof before got notif ?
I did not ask the prof that time. He even said sorry for long silence before the notificationBecause I was so nervous that time and did not want to think about it, so I keep silence till he finally contacted me.
2. Scholarship quota ?
In the dept that I apply (Computer science dept), prof said that the sch quota is 5. But I think this is different in each dept.
The official result from titech will be sent directly in March. You could wait... if not you can just ask your prof directly.

yes i was asked to my professor abt my status, honestly i really want to got this scolarships so we can meet at ookayama,
but if i didnt get i still want to try at jakarta embassy.

Let's just pray for the best.. to be honest our status right now is that Titech has recommended us for sch to MEXT. So the final decision will be made by MEXT. Hope for the best!
I know this is a silly question but...the notification of acceptance is mailed or e-mailed? In the TITECH website they say "Notification of admission results will be sent to all applicants in mid-March." Thank you.
