In some countries, such as the UK, charitable donations can be offset against tax. Does Japan have such a system, and if so does it only apply to Japanese charities?
Thanks very much. I'd just received a receipt by email from an Australian charity treating animals injured in the fire for a small donation that I made, and since I'm self-employed for tax purposes, it got me wondering...!
