The BBC on Japanese plans to construct 22 (!) new coal-fired power stations and on generating clean (but expensive) power with blue and green hydrogen.


 
Blue hydrogen is the normal supply of hydrogen- as economical as it can be produced from natural gas but still produces more CO2 than just using natural gas normally. No one is going to use so called renewable energy with massive subsidies as it can't be relied on to use an industry plant constantly- plants sitting around as wind or solar energy fails is wasted capital
