I looove sticky rice and I like to make my own, but since I'm poor, I can't have a handy dandy rice cooker. Anyway, I've followed all kinds rice cooking directions and it always sticks to the botton of my pot whether its undercooked and over cooked. WHY WONT DIRECTIONS WORK! All I want is my yummy botan rice to be cooked properly so it can express it's deliciouness correctly! Anyone have any handy hints or suggestions for me and my rice dilema?

Yaaay! Now I have many things to try

Thank-you very much, it was an interesting read, and I'm sure I wouldn't have found it by myself. I have horibble searching abilities ^_^

Here you are, a WHOLE RICE THREAD.. should be some good information for you

It also contains perhaps the only recorded incident of McTojo actually talking on a subject unrelated to right wing politics. ;-)

I guess the point is, "whether right-wing, left-wing, or two drumsticks, we all gotta eat rice; balanced nutrition with carbohydrates, protein, fibre, and minerals," right ? Rice rules, hehe !

My advice: Get a rice cooker. Usually someone I know has a spare one lying around... If all else fails, salt + twice as much water as rice, put lid on, heat. I don't understand how it could be difficult.
