I plan to get a sperm donor in Japan. Is that illegal? If it was legitimate, I was wondering if the guy who gave me his sperm from his bank, is allowed to see the kids I am having from his implantation of his sperm? I was wondering if he is even allowed to get custody? Because I want to get a sperm donor in Japan but keep the kids all to myself and raise them here in America, by myself.

Go to Japan, hit a club, get a handsome Japanese guy drunk and go about your business.

Odds are, like many Japanese men, he wont ever care if you pregnant.

I don't see that happening. Getting a sperm donation from a sperm bank in Japan? They are kind of funny about that kind of stuff. I've heard it's very difficult for even infertile Japanese couples in Japan, much, much less a foreign, single female?

I'm like Pooka. If you want a baby, go out with some Japanese guy and get pregnant. I think that's the only way you'll get a "donation".

interresting, bit strange to read this ( you are not strange, everybody have there wishes) wish you luck on it.. but yeah, you can go to a club to, instead of a donor bank....

btw.. why you want a donor? ... mm yeah i know japanese kids are cute ... but yeah why if i may ask

Well, that's probably the only way you'll get it. Japan doesn't operate like the U.S. when it comes to that kind of thing. They're a lot more strict. Especially when it comes to foreigners. Why can't you go to a sperm bank in the States? I'm sure they have donors with Japanese backgrounds?

I want to be a single mom. And no, I will not sleep with a damned drunk man.

Are you independently wealthy? I know a foreigner that impregnated a Japanese woman for that sole purpose. He got to do the deed though. And yes, he spends time with them... he's just not really "the father".

I smell either a troll or somebody with some really serious issues they need to deal with.

I Wondered If......

it's a 12 or 13 year old girl trying to plan her future?

Isn't the... more... usual... way of conceiving.... more fun...? :?

Maybe I'm really missing something....
*runs off to the nearest sperm bank*

Yeah, I agree with you.

I don't know if this is a joke or what, but that's the worst idea I've ever heard. That's not a healthy way to raise a child. Try explaining to your kids that you met "daddy" in a vile on a trip to Japan. There are no shortcuts in life. My guess is that you really want to have kids, but can't seem to make a relationship work. Well guess what sister, you're just going to have to do it the same way everyone does and just figure out a way to make it work. Do it right, or don't do it at all.

How About.....

I'll just go to Britain then.

Hawaii ? There's a large Japanese population there and it's still in the U. S. .

:bikkuri: Wow !! I was just sending a congradulation note to dutch baka, and that word just couldn't help but getting stuck in my mind's eye.

I wouldn't want to take the chance of disregarding a plea for help, or whatever, yet who knows what's behind the stress I sense in this original thread.

I have no qualms whatsoever for single parenthood. My sister-in-law here decided to keep her child, on the grounds that she may never have another chance to have someone who could really have love for her. (she had had a bad experience with a cheating {stole all her cards and skipped town} husband whom she soon divorced--the child was not his, and was somewhat later.) The willfull decision to have a child without a father, from the very start, is a bit out of the norm? perhaps? Hummmmmmmm. . . Depending on the age, circumstances, and personage of the sender, at the moment I would suggest trying for a true 'father-like' partnership, of whatever format, firstly.
:winklove:

QUESTION: Why would the pica be so smaller in the sender's posts?

I think SheWhoMustNotBeNamed is whispering not to be heard by eveyone around, but just by people who can whisper back.

wanting to be a single parent has to be one of the most selfish things I've heard of, next to wanting to commit suicide out of spite. I can understand if the father is a deadbeat and the mom's only option is to care for the child on her own, but purposefully depriving your child of a father? not enough love to go around? Thankfully sperm banks have higher requirements than "got a uterus? hop in the stirrups we'll have you fertilized in no time!"

Judging from this user's other posts, she is living in a fantasy world, and is likely either a preteen or just a wind-up. Please don't have a kid just so you can train them to be a ninja like your favorite video game characters

Thanks, nice gaijin for telling straight facts that might eventually help.
As for wanting to have children, it's nothing bad in itself. Heck I wanted a child when I was a teen, heh.
But if you want kids (and without a father to chip in with all the work of love which is not only wonderful-fun but also terribly hard work) to love them, raise them, and to PLAY WITH THEM who will never betray you...like a really good friend, you might have a better chance with people around you.

Socialising is no simple task, and both scary and enjoyable. Heck, I'm 44 and socialising is never trivial. There's always the element of fear, not wanting to go out of my way, and not wanting to offend anyone. But strangely they seem to work out one way or another.

I don't even plan them out. They just happen -- with or without my conscientious effort. I try to stay open and not let it destroy my style, and both me and others around my age give or take 30 yrs don't seem to have a major problem with it.

I think self-knowledge is where I got stuck for so long. If I had only known earlier ! One of the best way to find out is to actually go out and do it !
Stop asking for this mugen-tenshin advice ! Go find a cos-play, and your will find people just like you in love with the Aya side kick ! I think you will love it; and I'm sure there will be people who practice that variety of martial arts for all the visual effect, and possibly even the "martial arts" effect.

Did you know that even the mainstream martial arts have the "theatrical aspect" also ? It's really weird if you think about it. I can picture in my mind a peacock claiming to be in the offense posture !!

wow lexico, has your age been posted under your avatar all this time? for some reason I always thought you were younger and just wise for your years!

Hey, thanks nice gaijin. "Wise for my years" is amusing to my ears. There's a confucian sayng; "At the age of seventy, my ears became favorable." I still need a good 26 yrs to get there when I can say, "wise for my favorable ears."

That's all we need, another welfare mom to feed at the expense of the taxpayers. Yeesh!
