I had a very, veryl limited experience with it in the states, but not enough to really say anything about it, and have had NO experience with it here in Japan so, regretfully, cannot help out here. Sorry. MM
I was just hoping we could talk about something besides Islam. My darling does the SGI and everyplace we moved in the States (I move every few years) has had a group of these folks which come and introduce her to the community. I remember when the Christen chruches used to go around to new people moving in the area and invite them to the church -- but the last few places I lived in the States they didn't do that.
These SGI folks in the states don't go to strangers, but if they know you are a member they go all out to welcome ya. When we got here to Japan (for the second time) they knew she was coming and had someone deliver her the newspaper every morning until we got settled in our house. Of the meetings I went to (for the food afterward) there were peeps from all kinds of races, cultures and nationalities -- made it kind of fun.
I think i'm gonna mix christianity and buhdism for a new religion!
