Seeking Advice on a Project Name Related to Handmade Craftsmanship

I'm starting a project in collaboration with Japanese craftspeople to highlight their artistry, processes, workshops, and products through photography and storytelling. My goal is to create a website dedicated to showcasing their work.

Right now, I'm searching for the perfect name. I'd love for it to reflect the essence of handmade craftsmanship – something that conveys "handmade" or "by hand" in a way that's both meaningful and easy to remember, especially for non-Japanese speakers.

One idea I had was Shudō (手動), but I understand that it primarily means "manual" in a more mechanical sense. Another option is Tede (手で), which, to my understanding, translates roughly to "by hand." However, I'm not sure if it's commonly used in this context or if it feels natural to native speakers. A phrase like 手作業で might be more accurate, but it doesn't have the same simplicity and memorability.

Since I'm not a native speaker, I'd love to hear from those with a deeper knowledge of Japanese – does "Tede" work well as a project name, or would something else be more fitting?

My idea would be to use 手づくり in a nice artistic font. Or 手作りショーケース might be better for a web site/project name.

or 手工芸 Shukōgei (handmade crafting)

The products themselves would be 手工芸品 (shukōgei-hin: hand-crafted products)

Just on a side note, 手づくり is also used in sake production, referring to processes in sake brewing like preparing koji and yeast starter by hand.

• Tatsujin (達人): A person who has mastered their field.
• Meishō (名匠): A craftsman with outstanding expertise.
• Shokuninhada (職人肌): A person with a craftsman's spirit, dedicated to their craft.

Depending on the specific profession, there are specialized titles, such as Tōshō (刀匠) for a swordsmith or Sashimonoshi (指物師) for a woodworking craftsman.

工芸(kougei) Crafts: Often made using traditional techniques and methods by hand. They are created by skilled artisans, emphasizing craftsmanship and specific production processes.

美術品(Bijyutu-hin)Artworks: The methods of creation vary widely. From traditional media such as paintings and sculptures to contemporary art utilizing new technologies and materials, diverse expressions emerge through the creativity of artists.
