Dear valued Members,

you may have noticed the recent problems with the DB. Yesterday at 20:39 JST one of our hard-drives failed and needed to be replaced. The disc failure resulted in numerous errors thrown and data lost. I am still waiting for any updates on the replacement disc, but managed to restore the forum database with recent backups.

If you come across any glitches and errors (other than the ones we are already aware of, like the "Likes"), please post them here.

I apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience!

Well, above the forum logo, you have this:
Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: open(/tmp/sess_ca3f25070a0c9eda2e186085371614ef, O_RDWR) failed: Read-only file system (30) in [path]/includes/facebook/facebook.php on line 37
Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at [path]/includes/class_core.php:5615) in [path]/includes/facebook/facebook.php on line 37
Thanks for your hard work in trying to solve this thing!

Thanks, I believe this is solved. That was a rough night.

One month work on our other website wiped clean from the hard-drive, with backups destroyed.

EDIT: we were able to restore everything in fact.

I am currently rebuilding the forum's search index, that's why things are a bit slow and search results may appear a bit funky.

Is the server not using RAID?

RAID10, that's why we actually did have a working backup, contrary to what the technicians initially stated. Makes an admin sleep much better.

Thank you for keeping us posted and of course for all your efforts!

i had a problem with UserCP but not anymore.
Thanks thomas for your hardwork.

Glad to hear that, Hezam! We still receive the occasional error message, but things seem to be back to normal.

thank you for your hard work thomas i couldn't log in before yesterday
