Hey, i really didn't see tread of this group.
Even Raphael egzisted very short time i think
they were awesome~ Don't you agree?~
Just listen to Yuki's voice - AMAZING~~~
SO, do you like them?
Please share your opinion~

Some information from Wikipedia:
On vocals was Yuki,whose real name is Sakurai Yuki.
Kazuki (Watnabe Kazuki) played guitar until he passed away in 2000. Kazuki also was the main composer and lyricist.
The bassist was Yukito (Honda Yukito).
Hiro (Murato Kazuhiro) was the drummer.
Raphael was founded in 1998. They debuted with "窶ｰﾃ板催ｧ窶堋ｭ窶督ｽ窶堋?窶堙ｩﾅ津?窶堙ｨ"(hana saku inochi aru kagiri). After Kazuki's death, they were left with no other choice but to disband. Despite their shortlived time as a band, they still generally have a cult following.
YUKI and Hiro began a collaborative project named rice while YUKITO went on to form BLACK LOVE.
 
So sad, nobody knows/listen this band?

I heard of this band...mainly because of the death of the guitarist. He was so young. But I nvr heard their songs b4 =X

Yeah, Kazuki was only 18, if i remember well.

Thks for the pics though! Looks quite long ago...but nevertheless, still very fashionable in today's VK world. heh! Freaky Eyes - one large pupil and one small pupil. hahas.
 
Hi! I really like Raphael too! I've just heard a couple of songs by them, but I must say that they are really really good :)
 
I've also tried to find some photos, but have only found the ones that you've put up here... it's a shame that there isn't more pics of them

I do. My friend gave me some of their songs, at first i didnt pay much attention but after few times listening .. whoaaa... became fan since then :-)
18? very young, mmm how did he die? try to search but all just say 'die' without explanation, is it accident or illness?

Kazuki used too many some kind of tablets or other medicine,
i dont remember now.
Actually, i like them music more than them authobiography~
I write only these facts i found in Wiki,
but if you find more, please post them there, i would like to know more, too~
 
I've read somewhere that he had so many projects at the same time, both Raphael and solo and such. He worked himself to death, maybe there were pills involved too.
 
Yeah, i heard it, too.
I think Kazuki was too young for so many responsibilities,
he wasnt prepared for this~ So sad....

I heard that he ( ar maybe the whole band's members)
drop out them school in case they could be in band and could
create music~

Information on the Raphael:
Raphael was formed in March 1997 and had to disband after the death of the leader, Kazuki on 31.10.2000 at 9a.m. Kazuki died from an over dosage of Tranquilizers. A medicine to reduce stress... Kazuki was the one who named the band, "Raphael", as he remembered "the healing angel" as raphael at his Catholic School. It was because Kazuki wanted his music to be able to heal the hearts of the listeners. Their major debut was in July 1999 with their single 'hana saku inochi aru kagiri'.

More information on Kazuki & the band:
Kazuki's story is a very sad one. He leaded a hard life at a young age. He's father had disapproved of Kazuki's dream of being a singer and putting all his efforts into music. And because of this, Kazuki ran away from home at the aged of 15. He was all alone at that time and aimed on pursuing his goal in life. But during this time, Kazuki met Mr. Hirai who soon became Raphael's producer. Mr. Hirai invited Kazuki to stay and he was willingly to help Kazuki work towards his goals. And because of Mr. Hirai, Kazuki was able to form Raphael with Yukito. Later, Hiro & Yuki joined the band.
All members of Raphael quitted school at a young age to pursue their dreams and goals in life.
As for Kazuki, he's dream was to become a great musician... and he's dream did came true...
Being the leader of Raphael at such a young age, Kazuki had to face lots of problems and had great responsibilities. Thus, Kazuki started to take Tranquilizers to relieve the stress he was feeling.
On top of being the leader of Raphael, he was also planning on his solo career which added stress too. That was how Kazuki sadly passed away unexpectedly.
A day before Kazuki's death, he and the other members of Raphael was having a handshake meeting with fans & he was jokingly playing with Yuki too... But, the next day, fans were shocked on hearing upon this news...

yeah, it's a really sad story.. make me think that you can't take life for granted, it might end when you least expect it. I hope he had a good last time.

And even if he's dead, he will always live in the music he did. I hope that many more people will listen to Raphael and be inspired, it's amazing that in their young age make such great music as they did, and that might inspire more people, and what happened to Kazuki can warn people to not work too much, to take pauses in life. That's very important. I feel very inspired when I listen to Raphael, I just want to learn playing the guitar like Kazuki.

My ex-girlfriend used to love them i remember back in like 2002.. I really didnt care for them.. back then I use to find the lead singers voice annohing... but I listened to them again last year and I started to really like them them.

My fren introduced me to them. Personally i find their music gives u a soothing feeling. Eternal wish is my all times favourite xD
 
ok I listened to them and they are great too bad for the member who deid I was soo sad

Now it s really hard to find something about them..but they were a great band. kazuki's music and yuki's voice were amazing.. i hope that more people will listen them.
it's such a pity..
they were also with a major so i can t realize that now nobody knows them (and yuki & hiro project "Rice"
