Radical difference between East and West regarding relationships and marriage : OFFTOPIC about India

I wonder how much one would know about a country from those who have lived in foreign lands and have a different mindset, even if they be externally similar to the country they orginated from. Likewise, to believe that my living in a country, a person can have the same 'feel' as a native born.

Ah well, the west alone has education and experience and the rest are still in the Caveman days.

The BBC report is archetypical of the superciliousness and the smug attitude that the West knows best and they can do no wrong or not know about everything that is to be known.

Lastly, when I wrote marriages in the West is for Sex, what I meant that it is an important factor i.e. the sexual aspects take an undue importance in marriage. Here, it does not. Of course, it does not mean that Indians are celibates.

The dog article seems pretty similar to the baby stuff. Are you saying that the BBC doesn't consider the US to be Western? Or what?

i reckon more then not rayc simply has descrimitory feelings towards the west, much as i can admit sometimes feeling about america from my british perspective.

the fact is rayc, that your own ignorance is unravelling your justifications for your views on the west.

your inferiority complex is misplaced im afraid, most western countries are multi-cultural, I.E. they have populations of many ethnic groups, and in britain it wasnt uncommon for me to have some friends of indian origin.

the thing you are failing to read and understand is that the westerners here who are replying to you are telling you that we are far from thinking ourselves above everyone else, we just recognise descrimination, when we see it.

i myself have a japanese girlfriend, funny how i can acheive such a thing if i am so selfish, and feel myself superior to all others, and trust me, if its just about sex, there's easier ways of getting it then courting a japanese girl, or any girl for that matter.

i could, like our fellow forum posters, pick apart your post sentence by sentence, but suffice to say, i think your hostility in general towards westerners is misplaced, and unfair, yes our respective cultures are different, but that doesnt make mnie superior to yours, or yours supirior to mine, and i think your attitude is one that belongs post WW2 to be honest, i like india and would like to travel there someday if possibel, and visit indonesia, and egypt and many countries, ide even like to visit mongolia, and thats the only real crucial difference between you and me, i want to learn about the world and understand it, you seem happy to wallow in your self imposed ignorance.
