These questions are for people who currently reside in Japan or spent a large portion of their life in Japan. I am doing a paper on the culture of Japan today. If you could be as specific as possible it would really help

1. Male/Female?
2. age?
3. Nationality?
4. Describe a typical day... work? school? animals?
5. What time do you wake up, go to bed?
6. Favorite TV shows?
7. Do you have any pets? what kind?
8. What are 3 typical dinners you would eat in a week?
9. Are you in any extra-curriculars if you are in school? if so, which ones?
10. Do you own a vehicle?
11. How many siblings do you have?
12. Favorite hobby, pass-time?

What's the difference between Q4 "animals" and Q7 "pets"?
What is the point of knowing how many brothers and sisters we have?
How is knowing a foreigner's waking time helping you to learn about the culture here?

No offense, but this is still a weak survey, especially since you claim it is based on the culture of Japan. Most people on this forum are not Japanese.
 
oh my goodness i just worded it differently. It is just to have sum rough information to cite. It isn't a big deal. Plus this is just for my own curiosity. I have never seen japan and prbly never will. I'm curious about how many kids cuz i am out of the norm in my country. I am the middle child of 5. none of them are step. the age range is from 22-6. So this is some what of an interesting thing for me. I am one of the few kids at my school who has more than 2 siblings.

You are asking foreigners here, NON-Japanese, to answer your survey about JAPANESE culture.

What is the sense in that? What will it tell you to know how many brothers I (an American) have, related to Japanese culture?

I'm sorry, but you are going about this fact-finding in a very peculiar way.
 
not everyone here are foreigners. I have talked to some people who are japanese. And just because you are not that nationality doesn't mean you are not part of society. If someone took a survey of people in america, who are they suppose to ask. None of us besides the native americans are truly from america. So this is for people who reside in Japan. If you live there, it is part of your culture

You have never been here. So, you don't realize how many people still hang on to their western/foreign ways. Doesn't matter if they are just living here.

Your survey has good intentions, but you are not approaching things the right way, IMO.

What exactly do you want to know?

Oh, and the Native Americans were not all born in the USA...
 
ok, for goodness sake. all i am trying to say is, if you live someplace, you are automatically part of the culture, unless u have claimed your own country in the middle of Japan. Don't worry, I gave up with this interview. Don't worry. Thanks to arguing instead just answering sum dumb easy questions, i have found another source, and had no problem with getting answers.
 
If you don't want to answer the kid, why not just ignore the thread instead of being a pain in the ***?
 
It's constructive criticism, kusoji. Poor research yields poor results. I guess we'll never know how the "research" went with the other source. Shrug.

(Oh, you might want to lighten up on the insults. Before several responses got deleted by the mods, I was one of them who actually TRIED to answer.) GIGO
 
Ok, I appoligize to both of you. It doesn't matter anyways. This wasn't some extensive research project, and it was just something i wanted to do extra. This is for a freakin highschool sociology project. It isn't like it is gonna be published. I just need to show that i had put some sort of attempt to do an interview
