Onsen/Sento That Allows Tattoos

Konnichi wa, minna-san!

I am planning a trip next year to visit Japan. My boyfriend and I would like to try out one of the onsens in Kyoto . Unfortunately he has a medium size tiger tattoo on his upper right arm so I can't just book any place. I've researched online lately and no one mentions the name of the onsen or sento they went to for me to look up. Does anyone know any names of these places we can go to and won't get turned away? If possible, could you also list the prices for admission? Please let me know.

Smaller onsen are usually okay with tattoos these days. If not, usually covering it is fine. I have one on my upper arm, and I used to wrap a little towel around it. That was at a gym I went to, as well as a luxury spa I once went to. I've been to at least a dozen onsen and never had to cover up. People are just getting used to them, I guess.

The average onsen is $5-10, nothing extravagant.

That is a relief. I was hoping it was not going to be too difficult. We are just looking to spend some time in an osen for the experience but we didn't want to go to one if they aren't going to be very receptive to us. Thank goodness. Thank you for letting me know.
