Onigiri お願いします!

I know it's just rice balls... but I have never been able to find a restaurant that serves them. I get odd looks from the waitress if I ask, like she doesn't know what I'm talking about.

I've dreamed about rice balls ever since I was a kid and I saw Jubei eating one in Ninja Scroll.

I look at pictures on Google... oh... they look 美味しい！

I've found Mochi at all you can eat Chinese... but that's buffet food. And well, you know... actually there was an ant in the second one I ate... I don't go the Super Asian Buffet anymore. Even if they do have a snappy name and a gold Buddha.

Is anyone from southern Louisiana, USA? New Orleans area? Please help me find some balls!

you know you can make your own, right? Just make some normal short-grain rice and pack it into a ball or triangle. You can mix in furikake for flavor, insert things like umeboshi (pickled plums) into them, and if you'd like, wrap them in seaweed (nori)

I know... I'm lazy...

Actually I wasn't sure where to get nori. Also, I wasn't sure if there was something special about the rice.

Mostly... I'm just lazy.

Where can I buy pre-packaged onigiri (rice balls)?
I love love love rice balls. But I only ever had them when I visited Japan several years ago, and I CANNOT find them in the States! Is there a website where I can order them or some speciality food store I can visit? These rice balls were just plain rice, but some had tuna and other fish in the middle. They were individually wrapped.

Okay, fine. I live in central Virginia. But I wasn't expecting anyone from my area to happen to stumble upon my question. If you know where they are sold ANYWHERE, I would be grateful. I wasn't sure if there was a general chain that sells them or something.
