Well, I'm so happy about this that I wanted to share it with you guys and ask a question.

I just received my host family info for my year exchange in Japan and I've been told that I will live of a year with a family in a town close to Nagoya called Okazaki. So, question is... has anybody been there, what's it like, did you like it or not. Oh, and if it helps, this is where the Yamasa institute is... interesting.

Hi Mauricio! How was it.. I'm goin to the same place!!

As a matter of fact, Okazaki is part of the Mikawa region from which I derived my name! I lived nearby in Kariya for a number of years, and in that time I went to Okazaki quite a few times. It's a nice place, with easy access to Nagoya (depending where you live). I liked it, although you may want to invest in an international driver's permit, especially if your house won't be near a train station.
