A capsule hotel set to open in Japan next year will monitor guests for their heart rate, breathing and other data as they sleep, part of a growing "sleep tech" industry. Japanese information technology group NTT Data's new hotel debuts in July near Tokyo's Shinagawa station, with capacity for about 70 guests. NTT Data will work with Tokyo-based hotel operator Nine Hours on the interior design and features. The concept could eventually grow into a nationwide chain.
