"No More Tricks" translation

Greetings to all,

I am writing a song, inspired by a phrase heard from zen poet Gary Snyder, who translated the kanji as "No More Tricks" -- the
idea being that, after our philosophical-spiritual strivings have exhausted all shortcuts, we are left with only our selves -- that, enlightenment occurs only after we discard any shortcuts to wisdom ("no more tricks") and see things for what they really are.

I would like to title the song in its original Japanese, and wonder if someone could help? Ideally, I'd like to know both the kanji and the english-spelling of the phrase.

Gary Snyder translated what kanji?

If you're writing the song in "its original Japanese" then why is titling it in Japanese a problem?

And please don't double-post.

clarification

Mike,
1. It's an instrumental; I'm just titling the song in its original Japanese.
2. Snyder did not provide the kanji; he only wrote in passing that he heard the "dharma phrase" spoken by one of his fellow monks that translated to "no more tricks."
That's all I know. Thanks for the help (and sorry, won't double-post again),

so, in other words, you're looking for the original dharma phrase in Japanese that translates to "no more tricks," correct? do you know where this might be from?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, as far as I could tell from Snyder's comment, it sounds like a phrase spoken in Zen training -- as in : no more tricks, just acknowledge the self and reality. Sorry I can't provide the source; I only heard him speak it aloud at a reading, and can't find it anywhere on the web.
I'm sure that, naturally, there are several ways to say "no more tricks" -- any help would be welcome. Thoughts? Thank you!

Surely this Gary Snyder guy isn't unapproachable. How about contacting him and asking him? That's the best way to get a definitive answer.
