Hello,

I hope this is the right place for this topic.

I wondered if any of you, have any memories or photos/video of the train/railway at Niji-No-Sato (translated to Rainbow Village) in Shuzenji that you could share with me? I am currently researching the history of the railway and it would help me a great deal.

I would especially be interested in photos/anything of a blue locomotive called Ernest W Twining (ニ但ツーニ値ニ湛ニ暖ツ・Wツ・ニ暖ニ陳照辰ニ男ニ停?愴丹ツ坂??) which is on display in their museum.

Anything would be interesting and appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Peter

I've been to Shuzenji, but I've never been to Niji-no-Sato, sorry!

Here is the webpage with the "British Village" section of the park:
Sight-seeing Japan.com

If you click the links under "British Village," you'll see photos, including this:
Sight-seeing Japan.com

I bet you already know this, but here goes an article from Wikipedia:
Shuzenji Romney Railway

Hope it helps!

Epigene,

Thanks for the links to the websites, they're interesting.

If anyone else has any photos/memories, please send through.

Peter
